Finding the right balance
What is homeostasis ?
Homeostasis is a physiological process, allowing some internal constants of the organism to be maintained, necessary for its normal function.
Calcium and Vitamin D are two essential nutrients involved in the regulation of phosphocalcic metabolism and bone homeostasis. In some cases, such as vitamin D deficiency, or various bone diseases (osteoporosis, rachitis, osteomalacia…), a calcium and vitamin D supplementation is essential.

To whom is “Bones & Muscles” for ?
Calcium and vitamin D improve bone density for senior individuals, and may reduce the risk of osteoporotic fractures. Moreover, vitamin D may reduce the risk of falling associated with muscle weakness. Falling is a risk factor for bone fractures.
Calcium and vitamin D, as part of a healthy diet and lifestyle, build stronger bones in children and adolescents.
Osteoporosis affects up to 30% of postmenopausal women in Europe. Calcium and vitamin D improve bone mineral density, which strengthens bones. By maintaining normal muscle function, vitamin D may reduce the risk of falling, the leading cause of bone fracture.
